DSCO has gone through a rigorous certification process to be approved by Transport General Authority (TGA). The certification allowed us to take part in a new regulatory initiative that will improve safety, compliance, efficiency and optimization for transportation companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The initiative requires all transportation companies with heavy vehicles to install a mobile asset tracking system with the capability to provide on-board weighing providing > 90% accuracy, along with having it linked with the WASL Platform.

The project aims to manage the cargo transportation sector through provision of tracking solutions for trucks that will enable TGA to remotely monitor several parameters such as: location, speed, and weight overload. The issued Decree dictates that all trucks must be equipped with a GPS tracking system and a weight sensor mechanism starting April 2019. The main objective of the project is to help in detecting unauthorized weight and take a proactive approach to minimize the damage inflicted by heavy vehicles.

The TGA Regulation aims to regulate the activity of transporting individuals and groups by buses through the carrier's contracting with the supervising or licensed authorities for Hajj, Umrah, visit or tourism, or the parties concerned with organizing events, festivals, conferences and seminars, or contracting with employers to transport their employees, guests and the like, as well as organizing the activity of bus rental with or without a driver, and the activity of e-hailing buses using smart devices applications; with the objective to raise the level of passengers transport services by bus, preserve the rights of the contracting parties, create an appropriate environment for investment, and raise operating efficiency in a way that achieves the highest safety standards and requirements.
